Couldn't hold out. Episode was okay, not very good by Always Sunny's standards, but it had some funny bits here and there. I'm still happy Dennis is back, and think the season should hopefully get much better from here
For those wondering, yes, you can cancel your FX+ subscription immediately after watching the episode (and you still get the rest of the free trial).
"Oh yeah, he's definitely going to fuck the doll." "I can smell it!" Quite a few laughs. Glad it's back.
the politics stuff was weird because besides Dennis totes being alt-right and having a signed Jordan Peterson book there's nothing to suggest any of the rest of the gang have any political affiliation, Charlie probably thinks a rat is president I liked the Dee stuff and everything with the doll was good, plus the Dennis is bastard man callback Also how does Charlie have a smartphone
Yeah I'm hoping this episode is just some necessary setup. It fails to get me excited about the season the way that The Gang Turns Black did. Did anyone else notice that this episode is like... 6 scenes? They're super long haha. I sometimes wish the show would try to not subvert expectations with their plots. Like I'd rather have seen them go to the rally and then have Dennis show up and fuck shit up there, ya know?
Feels like they had to do that episode to bring Dennis back in since they weren’t sure if Glenn would be returning, looking forward to more schemes the rest of the season
I'm just glad Dennis is here for this season. That was a scary example of what it could be like without him... Where did Kaling's character come from? Was she in the last season?
at least they put “The Gang Dines Out” rightfully at the #1 spot where it belongs their top 4 is pretty good
Yeah I thought this episode felt weird, but I think it was supposed to. Still plenty of laughs, I think the new dynamic with Mac will be really funny. Absolutely loved how they did Dennis' return, I was fucking dying for that whole scene, especially Frank pulling his gun out. Not sure this was worth the year and a half of deception on if he's returning but I'm glad he is and the show is back to normal. So happy this is back
Of all the season 8 episodes, they rank those that high? That was a weak season, and the wedding episode was the only one I even remember.
