Finished what is probably my 9th or 10th rewatch yesterday and I'm pretty sure this is my favorite show ever. I always considered Parks & Rec my favorite but I think this may have slightly surpassed it. No other show can make me laugh like this one does

If you have access to an Android device, there's an app called TerrariumTV that you can find on Reddit that has everything you could imagine and with Chromecast support

    It's on Hulu.

I'm on rewatch #6 or 7 and it's just as good this time through. Finishing up Season 5

I think it does but it just feels different without Frank

Considering it’s from 2005 the picture quality doesn’t hold up but the jokes is what made the series stand out from the beginning. Charlie awkwardly saying the n-word when we first meet the waitress and Mac telling a pro-lifer she needs to get an abortion.

Holy shit the picture quality is like even worse than other SD shows from that era

I feel like a lot has changed, but Charlie awkwardly says the n-word last season too lol

Dee is almost the voice of reason during season 1 before they decided to make her a bad person too

I love season 1. Charlie Has Cancer is a classic.

And oh shit I forgot Gun Fever was in S1, that one's fucking hilarious

The one where they serve the underaged kids is great too

They honestly had this show almost completely figured out from the very beginning, then once Devito joined it really took off

I first discovered it after season 2 had aired and read that it was considered "Seinfeld on crack" and realized that was pretty spot-on.

Season 1 is very good but it feels a little disconnected from the rest of the seasons to me - not just because no Frank - there are other small differences - characters are less developed (Charlie especially is not 1/1000 as dumb as he is later, Dennis is less sociopathic, etc). And it feels more low budget. I always think of season 1 as akin to a band's first album on an independent label and season 2 is when they had budget and a producer (in music terms).

Charlie got Molested is a stone cold classic and so is the Abortion one.

Season 1 looks like it had a total budget of about $500

Rob kept his night job as a Server until they got picked up for Season 2, I believe.

I think that's exactly my "issue" with it (if you would even call it that because it's still hilarious and holds up). It's just that the characters aren't really themselves yet, but you definitely can't blame them for that.

On the other hand, they did a good job of working it into the show where their inner terrible person comes to the surface more and more throughout the seasons and eventually they become self-aware of that fact. It also makes sense that they took a turn for the worse once Frank and his endless money supply came into the picture. It just enabled them.

Honestly, there are decisions made after season 1 that I wish didn't happen. I kind of liked Dee as the voice of reason out of the bunch, and then they just turned her into a female Dennis.

Also really liked Charlie in S1, but him and Dennis are easily the funniest on the show, so I guess I'm okay with what they did with his character.
