Yeah, I think after S7, the show definitely took a tonal shift, with S9 being my favorite post S7.

But the amount of quality they've managed throughout the run is pretty incredible.

 

Man, I liked the episode where Mac came out, but it's not even close to my favourite of the series.

 

Personally, I think HOHC? really was one of the top 5ish they've done since their careers took off elsewhere, they had kids, and all that (roughly around S6). But back circa S3 or S4 it would've probably been viewed as one of the weaker eps, or at least middling (granted, that still meant phenomenally hilarious then!), so yeah.

 

Dennis, your mule is shit. I am no longer turned on by mules.

 

It's been a weak season. This is going in the bottom half of season rankings.

I think this show gets ranked a lot because it is very easy to rank for some reason.

 

Sorry, let me rephrase, I haven't enjoyed this season as much as the last. The suburbs episode and Being Frank were perfection for me. Even the arbitration episode this season didn't nail it for me. I'm still waiting for one I really love.

 

Haha that's fair, my judgement is likely clouded about this season because I LOVE the first two episodes.

I actually had to unsubscribe/leave that thread right around when California was released, could not stand it in there. And not just the ranking, but the anger that people had for differing opinions was worse han any other thread

 

or the Kanye one.

That was a very sweet ending.

I missed the cold open, did they use the rocket launcher in like a dream sequence?

Because the promos definitely have them blowing up a car, maybe we'll see the return of it next week?

 

Thought this was the weakest episode of the season.

 

I thought it had some really strong parts to it. Frank was great throughout. The rocket launcher bit seemed random, but the payoff was great. Dee being at her worst is the best.

 

This was a very classic feeling episode, probably in my top 3 of the season. Everyone had hilarious material the whole episode (I love how childish the conflict between Charlie and Dee was), and we had some classic Dennis screaming. The bit with Mac and Charlie in the bathroom was great (I knew Mac being out was gonna open up a lot of material like this), and I loved the ending. All of the dark web, stuff was really funny too

Lots of Cricket this season, and next week's episode is all about him judging from the description
