Honestly wasn't crazy about this one aside from the last few minutes I think the librarian callbacks didn't really work for me because it's from one of the weakest episodes of the show
Laughed out loud a lot tonight, even though you could tell it was his daughter, the reveal was still amazing, fuckin Dee haha
Yeah I mean it was obvious his daughter was going to be in the audience but I didn't really know that they'd go that far until he actually started dancing on her lol
Yeah, that's what I was getting at. They kept only showing her in the audience, then he was covering her face so it was definitely her. BUT the way it happened was still way worth it
Agree, not a great one, but the ending was awesome. Also agree Hero or Hate Crime won't be topped this year. AV Club had a good review of this one I agreed with - kind of a dodgy plot, not as tight as usual. Dennis wanting to be a stripper was odd and not really set up well, but that's nitpicking.
I think the season finale might be a good one. Dennis' Double Life. Maybe they finally show him being a serial killer.
Last night's was decent and middle-of-the-road for recent seasons. One small thing that had me rolling were the dreams with Mac's dad. Overall, liked it more than the Mom Sitcom ep and a couple others, but HOHC? is clearly going to be the highlight this year unless they pull out all the stops in the next few weeks.
This felt like a season 6 or 8 episode. Some really funny moments but the characters pretty much vamped through the whole thing I think there was too much going on in this episode, probably could've spent more time on Dee and the dude so that the ending hit a little harder.
Surprised at the reactions to that one, that was probably my second or third favorite of the season. Felt very classic Sunny to me. Hero or Hate Crime won't be topped though, that was the season's peak for sure.
I did like how they didn't overdo Mac being out of the closet. The only acknowledgement I really remember was his interactions with the male stripper (his huge smile and especially his salute killed me). It makes sense though, they already always assumed he was gay so why would they treat him differently now?
LOLed pretty hard at this one too. The intro with Charlie's commentary on what it looks like mac/frank are doing, that I won't type out here because I'll end up on a watch list.
I really liked this one. Definitely one of the stronger episodes this season. I'm surprised someone thought last week's might be the best episode of the series... I wouldn't even put it in my top 10 or 20 episodes.
Every body's dying bitch. Let's get you some fruit - Buzzfeed’s “Would you fuck a clone of yourself”... Lol at the Dennis one
im very lenient on reviewing tv comedy and i honestly thought this weeks episode was pretty weak. a lot of the things seemed forced and not really fleshed out. easily the worst episode of the season
I've been watching season two and it's so weird to see Dennis smoking and he and Dee calling Frank "dad"
I thought this was one of the better episodes of the season honestly although I haven't been a huge fan of it in general. The ending was easily my favourite moment of the season.
Yeah, this was definitely my favorite episode of this season which I've felt has been pretty meh. Dee's reaction at the end was so good, and Cats In The Cradle being used had me cracking up.
You are both entitled to your opinions, but this season has been a lot stronger than the previous one, IMO. It is probably on par with season 10 for me right now.
It's hard for me to find massive differences between seasons among these recent ones (say, S8 or S9 onward). They all tend to have one or two amazing eps that recapture the old magic completely, one or two more experimental-ish ones that succeed at their goal, and then the rest are decent to good but feel just a tad rushed or phoned in. I think last season (S11) had three I legitimately loved (Suburbs, Trial, Leprechaun) which probably puts it at the top of that pile for me.
