thought the new episode was just ok, I don't really remember the one it was referencing though which didn't really help. it felt like Mac was very out of character with all the meta references and it was just weird not having Frank in the bar lol

 

Frank wasn't in it because he wasn't in the original episode lol

This wasn't the absolute best of the season but I still laughed a ton, the Dennis and Dee story was great again

 

I get it, still weird though. kind of just works as a reminder that s1 without him wasn't that great for a reason

 

I don’t enjoy season 1 as much as I do the others but I would say that’s less to do with no Frank and more bc the writing hadn’t hit its stride and the gang’s characterisations were less developed

Plus “Mac’s Banging The Waitress” and “Sweet Dee Has A Heart Attack” don’t have Frank and they’re banger episodes

 

Love that the kids in the bar are their actual kids

i thought it was gonna be 10 episodes this season

 

That’s what I figured too but the preview for next week says it’s the finale. Hopefully it’s wrong lol

 

Another solid episode

 

need to catch up on last nights episode, but so far this season has been a tough watch for me.

 

The duster is back!!

 

A criticism I have of how the show has changed over the years is that Mac has gone from an overconfident but insecure idiot who does things like make Project Badass videos, to becoming more of just a himbo

I know a fair amount of that shift is due to him accepting himself as gay, but it’s not as fun and it’s especially glaring considering that the other characters haven’t really grown as people at all

It was good to see a bit of old Mac during the second rehearsal and in him recounting his confrontation with the coyote

 

My favorite Mac stuff is all the excuses he gives for not doing something awesome or correctly

“the sun was in my eyes” etc

that shit never got old because everyone knows someone like that

 

Episode was good, gotta love the continuation of Dennis being unhinged.

 

Forever scarred by the sight of Bald Charlie Day

 

I've loved this season but it has gone by way too fast. I miss the old days of 10+ per season.

 

Shorter seasons are lame but this year was all bangers

 

Cried laughing at the botched back flip and bald Charlie.

 

Nice to see Artemis again. Didn’t recognize her at first , she lost a lot of weight. She looks great (as Frank)

 

good episode, Dennis' monologue to the audience was great. Charlie's "we're already broke" got me lol

still feels weird not seeing Frank as much these past few

 

this season is so good

 

This one was also phenomenal, and an amazing Dennis episode. That monologue was incredible

Definitely felt like commentary on the audience wanting specific things from them (especially Mac's whole "I love Jesus so I'm not gay" and the badass/karate stuff)

 

Definitely was meta commentary. Absolutely loved it.
