I think there are like five. The Billboard Model Contest episode in S4, The Gang Recycles Their Trash (the one you mentioned) and Dee Day in the later seasons all have Dee doing that Martina Martinez character. The other two are the Lethal Weapon episodes where Mac and Dee both do blackface.
I have all of them but Dee Day on DVD and I'm kinda miffed I can't watch that one when I want to because the scene where creepy Dennis hits on the woman in the bar is incredible.
Was watching “The Gang Saves the Day” and when it goes to Charlie’s idea of events and it’s a cartoon, I pretty quickly thought, “I wonder when this was made, I’m getting some Up vibes from this” and then 30 seconds later it’s a full on parody of it lmao So perfectly done as I imagine A LOT of people had that same thought and then they just fully turn it into reality
First off, I had no idea that was a Rob Thomas show. well was Kaitlin Olson’s New ABC Series ‘High Potential’ to Get New Showrunner As Rob Thomas Exits (EXCLUSIVE)
Sinbad commanding Rob Thomas to sing a song, then immediately telling him to shut up kills me every time.
“Grab his shoe! Beat his testicles!” “I’ll poke your eye out!” plus this is the episode where Charlie and Dee walk a mile in each others shoes, holy shit what an all-timer lol
Think I’m on my 3rd watch through already in like 2 months or less somehow lol. I love the continuity of basically everything. Charlie’s uncle lawyer and his obsession/hatred with his tiny hands. Didn’t realize or remember until this latest watch how early comments or visuals were made to that bit.
And not to compare/contrast but one of the main reasons I like Parks & Rec more than The Office (since those two shows will forever be linked) is because of the side characters. When I started Sunny I didn’t expect it to be such a “large” universe. I guess I just assumed it would be focused on the bar as the setting and storylines but obviously I was very wrong there which quickly helped make it a favorite show with all the world building they’ve done.
