5 Ways Charlie Is Somehow the Smartest Character on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ | Cracked.com
One of my biggest entertainment regrets will be getting into this show way too late but I’m glad I’m here now. Taking my time with it so I don’t burn out on it or anything, a few episodes into season 7 and I think it’s safe to say this is definitely one of my favorites and I’m only half way through the series? Maybe less? Always the concern that the show starts to slip once it gets past a 6-7-8 season mark but I never really heard or saw any negativity around the show slipping so not too worried about that. May I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?
I’d say the general consensus is that the second half of the show is weaker than the first half, but even the weakest season is still pretty damn good at times. On average, it’s declined a little, but the back half of the show has a ton of all-time great episodes that you have to see.
Man this podcast was my Monday morning ritual. I looked forward to getting to work at the start of every week just to start it lol. Definitely hope it comes back at some point. Charlie in particular seemed like he was getting a little burnt out on it so maybe they just decided to take a breather after the whole writers strike thing.
Yeah, I don’t think they expected it to be as big as it became and couldn’t put the brakes on it once it became a weekly show.
plus all those live shows they did here and across the pond, every live show sold the fuck out! and those venues they were at were huge! so rad!!
I have come to realize that I have an Uncle Bob who looks a lot like Danny DeVito (same glasses, hair style, height, and voice) and tells stories a lot like how Frank does which makes every scene he’s in that much funnier to me lol
Just noticed that Hulu does not have episode 2 of season 8 and now I worry/wonder how many other episodes Hulu may not have that I didn’t notice as it just goes from episode to episode.
It’s an episode where Dee is in blackface I think. Removed in 2020. There’s a few episodes of 30 Rock missing on Hulu for similar reasons
Ohhhhh that makes sense. I looked at the episode title and didn’t think anything of it but didn’t read about the episode to try and investigate why. makes me wonder if the episode of The Office where Mose very briefly is shown in blackface is out entirely or if they only cut the scene since in that scenario it was two seconds and a throw away side gag vs what I’m assuming is Dee shown in blackface for more scenes / longer time than Mose.
I love how Rob and Charlie can barely contain their laughter whenever Glenn starts getting worked up I really hope they bring it back soon too
