Actually kind of a middle of the road episode for me but that's just because this season has been so good, I still had several laughs like Charlie nonchalantly getting his strike and Dennis being in Dee's head. So great to see the main McPoyles again after all this time too

And yeah bummed that next week is the finale already

the smssh cut to the McPoyles rubbing up their bowling balls absolutely killed me lmao. plus "it's all blood soup and bone broth in there"

Agreed. The show was still pretty good during 11 and 12, but 13 was definitely a low point IMO. Then it's been on an upward trajectory over the last three seasons. This one has been so solid and consistently funny.

 

This is the best since 12 for me, though 15 is pretty good too!

 

13 still has some absolute top tier stuff with Escapes, Time's Up and New Wheels. the only episode of 14 I even remember is the black and white one, that's easily the low point season for me

 

Yeah, Time’s Up and New Wheels are excellent. The Super Bowl two parter is awful though. 14 doesn’t have any standouts but I think is more consistently decent.

 

SuperBowl is an absolute stinker but I think the three I mentioned and Mac Finds His Pride easily make up for it. The Gang Escapes doesn't seem to get much attention but "the head cow is always grazing" bit is up there with the best moments in the entire show

I should maybe watch 14 again, I really don't remember anything about it. I just googled it and apparently Dee Day was in that season, I thought that was like s11 or something lol

 

I think off the top of my head 14 is the bottom for me, but one of the great things about this show for me is that every season has had SOMETHING I really liked, even in the iffier seasons

 

13 has the Boggs Ladies Reboot, a bad/unfunny two-parter with the Super Bowl episodes, a bland season opener, and a literal clip show. So half the season is a skip for me. Haha.

 

Yeah these plus, sorry, Mac Finds His Pride which I do not like at all, make 13 so easily the worst season of the show for me

 

I am pro-dance, but the rest of the episode kinda sucks. Dennis missing from the scene with the float is especially egregious.

 

Mac Finds His Pride is so good to me. also don't get the criticism of that season opener. the guys walking into the bar blowing air into the sex doll's ass is one of my favourite moments of the entire show

 

I like the season opener and was excited the show might be changing things up a bit.

At the time I was really hoping for a Dennis solo North Dakota episode. Somehow he fucks it all up and skips town back to Philly.

 

Kinda sidenote here, but I've been rewatching The Mick on Netflix and still bummed it was never renewed by FOX after season 2. The cast was great for this as was the stories.

 

Hilarious too, the guy that plays Jimmy is hysterical

 

yea, he was also in season 1 of Righteous Gemstones and great. The kid actors were all also great. The older boy and oldest girl went on to do other stuff. Not sure about the little boy, but he cracked me up

 

Single Drunk Female is pretty good that the oldest kid stars in

 

Looks like the podcast is on hiatus until the SAG strike is over

 

Interesting finale lol

 

A part of me almost believed they were finally going there and he was actually pulling that dude’s heart out until it started glowing lol

 

Of course Dennis hates Boba

 

I knew the second Dennis got that electric vehicle that this episode was going to be a retelling of Glenn's real life issue with his Tesla (starts at 4:00)

I think his actual story is more infuriating than the one in this episode lol.

 

Agree that the podcast story was better than the Dennis version but this was still hilarious. Especially the diamonds bit with the rest of the gang in the bar. Great season.
