Charlie revealed on his Kimmel interview that they are playing themselves, but the gang thinks they are Malcolm and his dad from Malcolm in the Middle.
Wow it seems like their rewatch of the show for the podcast did a lot for their mindset, both of these episodes would have felt right at home in the single-digit seasons (funny that we can call them that lol). The Gang Inflates was super clever, I loved the bit of Charlie actually having a pretty nice apartment but refusing to use it lol Frank Shoots was awesome too, was great to see the moms again and the scene with Mac's uncle was so heart-breakingly funny. I wasn't really a fan of the characterization of Charlie's sisters, not quite sure what they were going for there tbh, but this was a really great return
I hope they stay with Charlie secretly being the sanest/smartest one in the gang haha, him doing the you like Krabby Patties face about Mac's uncle was amazing
The title reveal for the second ep was classic. These two eps are great, agree that they felt like the early seasons again.
is it?? i had the thought last night "holy shit that guy looks and sounds like his dad" but he also looks just different enough to not be
