It looks like last week they went so far afield that this week they wanted to veer just as heavily into traditional territory. This was classic Sunny all over. And I loved how they tied everything together at the end. Solid episode.
Definitely solid and I liked the Dennis story a lot (his relationship with the girl was oddly adorable) but it was nothing special imo The ending of the season sounds intriguing though
You guys ever throw yourself down a Slip n Slide before it was properly lubed up? Bet that's how Frank felt.
The detail of the blood on the slide, after you see his body pass, was so painful to see but so fucking funny. Charlie never went down it, huh?!?!
Not bad at all. Slow and forced in spots, but some great laughs in others. Still, I've noticed none of these on-location episodes are ever among my favorites.
I seem to be in the minority of hating Mac being actively gay as opposed to subtly/in denial/homophobic about himself.
Haha I've kind of been feeling the same way, but I guess that's been the overall arc of the show... They've all become more extreme versions of who they started out as and are becoming more aware of who they really are all the time. Same with Dennis being a psychopath. It used to be subtle and progressively got more severe, but now it's referenced in episodes allll the time. I think it was Season 10 where they really started to (verbally) be honest/aware of their own personalities.
Didn't love (or hate) this one again but admittedly a lot of Sunny episodes are better (for me) upon multiple viewings, I suspect this will be one of those.
Perfect episode. Funny seeing the Game of Thrones guys...now that they have been apart of two episodes I think it's about time the Gang show up in Westeros.
This was the Sunny I love. Great ep. Blood, Dennis being sleazy, Dee getting fucked over somehow, Charlie and Frank's weird relationship, all of it was good. After an 'eh' premiere, this really picked it up.
I love the way Dennis and Charlie & Frank casually address each other in the middle of their shit. "You guys doing an AIDS thing?" "Yup. You doing a fake daughter thing?" "Yup."
God this episode was awesome. Vintage Sunny. I really loved Dennis' story in that one, although the pairing of characters was classic, too. Anytime the episode ends with that gang wrecking the whole place, you know it's good.
Episode was decent. Loved the payoff to the AIDS bit. Dee and Mac didn't do anything for me. Dennis and the kid were great.
Yeah, I think this is a good summary. The Dee and Mac slide thing had a lot of promise in the preview. Unfortunately, those 5-second clips were the highlights and it went flat from there. The Dennis and Charlie/Frank segments rocked.
