The more Megan has been on these podcasts, the more I'm glad they've been giving her a spotlight. Everything she says is always so witty and spot on. Plus, her laughing at like everything the guys say or do makes it that much funnier, almost like a candid laugh track.
The ending with Charlie improvising that genuinely really profound feeling song and making Rob and Glenn cry and then not even knowing what he said was the best moment of the podcast so far
This is the first time I've watched the pod. Meg is so incredibly charming. Her drunken smiles gave me so much joy.
I just can't believe Kaitlin was standing like a flamingo and the closest we got to any bird jokes was them saying "No swanning".
I think that was the longest episode they've done and yet it flew by. Could have easily gone for another hour of that lol
As much as I absolutely love this podcast, I'm a little bummed whenever they hardly talk about an episode I actually really enjoy. The Aluminum Monster vs. Fatty Magoo is a classic, but apparently they would rather talk about quicksand and chloroform for an hour lol
Yeah I will say that I'm really enjoying the podcast, I just wish they hadn't framed it as a re-watch podcast if they weren't going to discuss the episodes more in-depth than they are. Like if it had just been pitched as a podcast where Rob, Glenn, and Charlie shoot the shit for a half hour about whatever is going on in their lives, I'd be more than ok with that.
I like the mix honestly. It gives me an excuse to rewatch the show and usually we do get at least a bit of interesting discussion about the episode. I would like more of it though, maybe like a 50/50 split between the episode and tangents.
Yeah that's more of what I meant, I guess. I obviously love the format and the tangents are what make it great, but there are certain times I get slightly disappointed whenever I have the realization "Oh, yep, that's all we're getting about the actual episode". It's more that I'm biased in favor of certain episodes. haha.
I was laughing out loud thinkin about Rob tryna pin down glenn with a chloroform soaked rag while Glenn ACTUALLY wants to pass out
Hearing Rob talk about a twelve year old's take on morality is great. I think them watching the show with their kids is a lot of fun.
I think it's kinda interesting how they use the premise or themes of the episodes to springboard a conversation instead of actually talking about the episode itself most of the time. It's kinda cool how it can be used as more of a companion to the episode than an analysis of it
First 3 minutes was talking about why they were on Zoom, next 9 were talking about the episode, then by minute 12 they were already on kicking in doors which spurred the conversation about Glenn's wish list for the next 31(!) lol. Again, the whole conversation is hilarious so I'm not complaining. But I would have figured they would have more than 9 minutes worth of discussion for this episode is all.
Oh my god. They actually got a door marked "PIRATE" for Glenn to kick in. Unreal. Also, I love how they actually talked about how some listeners (like me) were complaining that they weren't talking about the episodes enough. And then just said that it's too boring and self-indulgent. hahaha.
