I knew the second they started singing that this would be a super polarizing episode but I fucking loved it. I don't think people will find it as offensive as some people in here seem to either, I thought it had a good message. Charlie and Glenn can really fucking sing too
Chad Coleman's character wasn't the one who sold Dennis and Dee crack in season 2, he's a member of the Bridge Crew that Frank hangs out with (and a jean shorts enthusiast). They were under the bridge in this episode!
Not as good as Dayman but I don't think anything could top that for me. Charlie describing his living situation to the cops though, holy lol
Quite liked it. Not anywhere near their strongest debuts, (Mac And Dennis: Manhunters, The Gang Exploits The Mortgage Crisis, Frank's Pretty Woman) but it was still pretty good and took this show somewhere different. Liked the message they were conveying, I bet it gets misinterpreted over the next few days in a few reviews. Musical episode idea was cool, and as much as I love Charlie Day, the songwriting was the weakest part of the ep. The song he sings when he's being held by the cops was the strongest one. Looking forward to next week. Water Park ep ftw.
Didn't care for the singing aspect, but everything else about this was great. Frank dying to say the n-word.
Yeah this episode had way more exterior scenes than they usually have. Really didn't have a choice but to actually shoot it in Philly.
If someone told me they were gonna make an episode like this when I was watching season 1 I would never have believed them.
