Hahaha Charlie being immune to ammonia and bleach and casually pouring glue into a paper bag in the beginning were great
That will definitely be an episode that people either love or hate like the Liberty Bell one or the Gang Turns Black but I thought it was really well done
This episode was more impressive than funny. The breaking character parts kinda confused me though, and I know I am WAY overthinking a show like this... but are we to think our regular characters are like... acting in this noir movie?
Lmao great episode. Always love ultra religious Mac. Dennis getting him to admit it's impossible to have a rational conversation with him was hilarious.
For some reason this one just really didn't click for me, it almost felt underwritten. I might have missed something but it seemed like the whole party at Paddy's kind of just came out of nowhere, I think that needed more buildup, and while I'm glad Mac wasn't obsessed with Dennis this week, they instead replaced it with literally every line being religious. Why have they totally forgot how to write Mac well this season? Charlie and Dee's story was great though, and I did like Frank dancing behind the bar while Dennis was yelling at Mac lol
I have been a staunch supporter of every season, even the lesser ones, but this season has been hit after fuckin hit, really loving it all so far
the party was supposed to represent the climate change debate and how difficult it will be to actually transform the global economy in a way that saves the planet. Mac represented the right wing in government (hence why he was being extra overt with the religious stuff), Dennis represented the left trying to get any of even the most modest reforms enacted, and the bar patrons represented humanity in general (throwing their trash into the “water section” of the bar, etc.).
I am waiting for some friends to fully watch this season and it's god damn brutal because they're taking fooooorever and never wanna watch it but I can't watch it without it them at this point
