For real, especially the closer. I dont listen to a ton of metalcore anymore but this blew me away after my first listen. I mean the vocals alone are amazing but then pretty much every song here has memorable instrumentals from the rest of the band. They leveled up with this release for sure.

Same. Don't really touch metalcore that often anymore but this is just hitting so well for me.

  14. All jokes aside about running through walls or smacking steering wheels, this is legitimately causing involuntary body movement in a way that metalcore hasn’t for me in years lol. Thank god I’m alone in my office today, I’m straight up slam dancing around my desk

  15. Okay holy fucking shit at this closer. What an accomplishment

Definitely a step up from the debut, which is great too. Keen to see what they can get off the back of this one.

  18. Yeah - I spent a good portion of this weekend going back and forth between the two albums, it really highlighted for me how much of a step up this one is. Not to say the debut wasn’t a significant entry into metalcore, but they quite simply just snapped on this record

We reach for the longest shadow

I thought this was going to be an indie album I wouldn't jive with based on album art. Glad to be wrong.

This was an unexpected hit for me, didn't care for the last record but they truly nailed it with this one - they've hit on something relatable and unique at the same time in such a cool way, and it goes off

I saw them in Manchester last night, first time playing these new songs live and I believe also their first show since the pandemic.

The new tunes absolutely go off live and they sounded super tight. I can see them climbing the metalcore ranks easily throughout this album cycle.

Just happened upon this a few days ago and it's pretty neat. And fucking balls man this thread wasn't kidding about those last 2 songs, goddammit.

The Future Says Thank You is also quite the rollercoaster, specifically in that "choking on diamonds and vomiting gold" is such a cool lyric and "I put poison in your birthday cake" is possibly one of the worst things I've ever heard. How were all 5 of them okay with that? Truly a puzzle for the ages.
