X-Men Days of Future Past did the same thing. I was so excited to buy it, but they released the directors cut like a month or so after the original. Too much time passed and my excitement died down, they ended up not getting any of my money instead.

 

Pre-ordered this on Amazon and it hasn't even shipped yet... despite it coming out tomorrow. WTF

 

I think I’m going to buy the digital copy for the standard release and then get the physical copy of the director’s cut.

Revisiting Derry: How Last Year’s Horror Breakout ‘IT’ Is Better The Second Time Around

 

Finally got to see this and pretty much loved it. Feels like the first horror film in a while that creeped me out(not that I watched many last year unfortunately).

Chapter Two, like Chapter One, will really depend on the cast. They nailed it the first time so I have high hopes!

 

Isn't there a new female character that is supposed to look really similar to Bev? I could see them getting Amy Adams for that

Just watched it for the first time over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. I would honestly love a tv show with the same cast that wasn't a horror movie. Just a show about growing up in the burbs...their chemistry was amazing.

 

Probably... this movie is the only way I've ever experienced this story (never read the book or watched the earlier version) but I read the summary on Wikipedia after I saw it so I knew what happened in the second half lol

 

I had to look this up cause I totally forgot I had read this a few weeks ago, but Sophia Lillis (Beverly) will be playing a younger versions of Amy Adams’ character, Camille Preaker, for the upcoming HBO miniseries, Sharp Objects. That really diminishes the chances of casting Adams for It
