Oh no I just noticed the shot with their reflections as kids and now I’m going to be crying all day. That description in the book destroys me every single time.
Really hope that’s just part of some kind of flashback to one of the interludes and they still make it clear how eldritch and inhuman he is. I’m happy that the Bob Gray idea is being brought up with the picture in Mrs. Kersh’s house, so it could tie into that very well. I also wonder if we will get a trailer solely devoted to Stan just based on how specific this one was. Showing like the few minutes where his wife is knocking for him would be spoilery but also incredibly creepy.
The first was definitely a mix of scary and emotional for me, but this is going to be devastating. I feel bad for everyone seeing it with me opening night and hearing my ugly crying.
Looks solid. I liked how they let the first scene play out slowly rather than just do a bunch of jump cuts like most trailers.
yeah this should be the standard way trailers are done. just let one scene that represents the tone of the movie carry the thing rather than slamming together a bunch of 3-second clips. also they nailed one of the creepiest scenes in the book
I really hope if they're doing that one they do it tactfully. really just thankful they didn't lean into some of the incredibly over-the-top elements from Fukanaga's original script lol give me the Ritual of Chud with no compromises though, PLEASE
This is maybe what I am most looking forward to because it was so hard to read in the book. I feel like the trailer shot of all the red balloons under the bridge was alluding to that scene.
It was confirmed a long time ago that they’re doing it. I also hope they nail the tone and the importance and don’t make it either just for shock or downplay it. It was such a good example of how the evil had totally festered in the town even without It specifically acting. The balloons being in the trailer look heartbreaking enough, so I’m hopeful.
