I had the worst nightmare about this last night. It was totally unlike the book but it was all the kids for sure and man was it upsetting.

Yeah, they’ve basically scaled back screenings to the coasts (as well as the critics that have already seen it) and Canada. I have no idea what it means, probably nothing more than WB already knows that they’re gonna get their bag, so who cares? It’s just weird because they’re usually the most reliable studio to do critics screenings.
I could be on board for a period-piece IT sequel. Maybe something that takes place during the wild west style Dery shootout from the book.
The ONLY thing I’d be fine with is a film going through the interludes, still with Mike narrating and tying it together. Even better if it came out in a release with the other films all cut to be one piece. But anything not taken from the text is a hard no from me.
Give me IT 1.5 where the kids start to discover pot and Neutral Milk Hotel and experience the existential crisis of early adulthood while Pennywise takes a side gig working birthday parties and develops a crippling gambling addiction
