Chorus has been a great upgrade, and truly feels more like a community. I've met so many amazing people on here, and it's so great to be able to talk to all of them everyday on here. Here's to many more years!

Jason, I dunno if you'll approve or disapprove of how I came about AP hah. But it was I guess circa 2005 and I was big into the music pirating scene and there was an IRC channel called #absolutepunk that provided XDCC bots to download music (this was before torrenting so gimme a break!). I knew nothing about your site at the time until people in the channel kept on referencing a "Jason Tate" (even the channel was registered under that name if I remember correctly). Ultimately it got me curious enough to check out the site and I fell in love with the community and content. So I know this is a one year anniversary for Chorus, but this is a fuck-if-I-know-how-many-years anniversary that you've been helping me discover good music, so thank you!

 

If I remembered the password to my chorus ACA account, I would have posted that.

Definitely what this site is missing but I understand it's still building up. AP had a great staff.

 

Hahahaha I grew up with the infamous ACA. I lost touch around middle school and started seeing his posts on AP in high school. Holy shit was I embarrassed to have known him.

Am I the only one that last year went to AP.net and thought this whole switch over was an April Fools joke?

Nevertheless, congratulations Jason on the first year, and many more!!

 

I miss AP regularly, and have my enamel pin to show it. Chorus is a great extension of that community, and clearly works towards being bigger and better.

Definitely agree that more reviews would be welcome. I wrote so many back in my nascent college days for my laughable AP competitor. I should take the opportunity to do so again.

I've been checking the website practically everyday for a year. When it was absolutepunk, I was sometimes spending many days without going on there in the end. When I went on Chorus the first day, I almost had a heart attack because I thought absolutepunk had been bought or fused with another website. But Chorus is great!
