Possibly my favorite filmmaker, but easily in my top 3. I can't wait for this, my most-anticipated film of whichever-year-this-comes-out. So excited. And that cast!

    4. Fantastic Mr. Fox
    5. The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
    6. Moonrise Kingdom
    7. Bottle Rocket
    8. The Darjeeling Limited

@Anthony_D'Elia Why is Darjeeling below Bottle Rocket?

I just have this nostalgic love for Bottle Rocket. The scrappiness of it, the quotable lines, the fact that it was his first feature. It just barely elevates it above Darjeeling.

That said, please do not take this is my saying any of his films are bad. It's just my least favorite. But even my least favorite Wes Anderson film is better than 99.9% of every other movie that comes out.

I don't think I can rank besides Tenenbaums being number one, ranking Rushmore is tough because Max is so annoying and unlikable

Rushmore was the first Anderson film I saw, and I saw it in high school, so it kind of becomes my favorite by default because of that.

The last film is much farther than the rest, and the top two are much higher than the rest.

Yeah RT and Rushmore are classics. Rushmore might be my favorite of his. All others that I've seen of his have been pleasant

Similarly to John C. McGinley's feelings toward Michael Bolton in Office Space, I celebrate Wes' entire catalogue.

This news just makes me want to re-watch Fantastic Mr. Fox. With my bandit mask on, of course.

I love Zissou, never understood the hate it gets. Not saying anyone in here hates it, just saying it's a lot of people's least favorite or the only one of his films they outright dislike.

TGBH was such a surprise to me. I was excited for it as a fan of his work but I really didn't expect it to rate as highly for me as it did. I'm not usually a big fan of bookending a film so that the entirety of it save for beginning and end is a flashback but I thought it was used to surprisingly poignant effect there. Looking forward to its inevitable Criterion release.

Darjeeling always seemed to get a little too much hate for retreading the same ground as his prior films.
