There's a place close to me that serves a burger with PB on it but I never feel brave enough to try it, here's the description:

"Full-pound beef burger, creamy peanut butter, fried bananas, and applewood bacon, on a brioche bun."

It does sound good, but it's super expensive and I usually just go there for sushi (it's called Cowfish lol) so I'm rarely in the mood for a burger when I eat there.

They also combine the two in really weird, but surprisingly tasty, ways. I'm a fan.

Maybe you should get it in a take out box. If it's sitting around your house for a few hours, I think you'll get yourself in the mood and be compelled to (reh)eat it

I support you in hating bleu cheese. And blue cheese. Not my thing. :|

Blue door is the best. I went the last time I was in MN and I'll probably go again next month if I can work my trip out. Had their Juicy Lucy and it was pretty legit. I'd branch out and try something else next time, though.

I went to a burger place that offered this today but was not brave enough to try it. I generally like my burgers pretty boring but maybe next time.

Honestly guys, some PB isn't that far of a stretch. I can't see how anyone that doesn't like peanut butter wouldn't like it as a topping. I'm only so passionate about this because I too thought it was a ridiculous idea and I wasn't a very adventurous eater. Then I tried it and it turned out to be a subtle touch to a great burg sesh and I want you too all feel as enlightened as I did that day

What other condiments do you put on a burger with peanut butter? It seems like it would clash with mustard, probably mayo too

Nah dude, the peanut butter isn't just a solid glob - it melts and becomes a condiment of its own. If bacon, cheese, and mustard ain't dry then PB taking its place don't make it any drier

Peanut butter, though not terrible, is on my foods to avoid list. Don't think I could ever try this.

I've been brought to this thread by @ChiliTacos as the self-appointed expert on this subject.

This establishment is said to have pioneered the peanut butter burger, naming it the Duane Purvis after one of the colleges football players.

It's nothing fancy but it's fucking delicious. It is absolutely necessary to have pickles, onions, and mayo on a peanut butter burger. If you don't then you are wrong and your burger sucks.

The other restaurants in town have fancier versions, all of which are good, but this is the standard.
