Never liked “The Stephen Hawking”... it just kind of plods along, even when he brings the energy up after the first two minutes. The proggy close is cool, but I don’t know. I feel like people just want “epic” from Max and reward that, when songs like “Peace Out” and “Night’s Song” are much tighter from a songwriting perspective.
The Stephen Hawking C’mon I loooove Overbiter, but when he described the album as ATDI meets MtB...The Stephen Hawking is the only song that fits that description. There’s some great guitar work on it, and very similar to Mara with the crazy song structure. Not to mention it’s one of the heaviest songs in his catalogue.
The Stephen Hawking is a far greater achievement Overbiter just sounds like a Michael Jackson rip-off with some bad lyrics (and some good ones too) so it’s just no contest to me
The Stephen Hawking is like a more ambient and chill Mara and Me and that's why I love it. Primarily the entire outro, the guitar work in the first chorus, the screaming about halfway through, and the guitars in the bridge. Really nice bass lines in the outro, too
