Is a Dairy Queen Blizzard a milkshake?

If you aren't from the south, you might not know what a Blizzard is, but it's a milkshake(?) from Dairy Queen.

No, too thick to be a milkshake. The test is can you suck it through a straw (phrasing), if yes - milkshake, if no - not milkshake.

Blizzards are delicious but they are certainly not a milkshake.

 

At the Dairy Queen I go to they have to bring a Blizzard to you upside down or else it is free. Not sure you can do that with a milkshake. But yea, it's just custard with candy mixed into it.

Whisked until is is frothy is the key part, this isn't frothy, it's solid. Not a milkshake.

I guess I'm in the minority. I consider it one, or at least a variation of one.

 

Blizzards are dope, I'll grab one once in a while when it's warm out. Speaking of DQ food, their food is pretty damn good compared to other fast food joints. Their Flamethrower Burger is arguably one of the top ten fast food items in the US in my very humble opinion.

 

Yup Flamethrower Burger is bomb and I haven't had in forever cuz our DQ doesn't sell food.
