    I’ve tried getting into Iron & Wine because I like the music but I can’t get into the way the vocalist sounds.

    Perfection is hard to digest but I would recommend trying. I think the Shepards's Dog is his most interesting project from a musical standpoint so that might be a cool place for your to start if you are so inclined.

    Is Shepard’ Dog the album with Boy With a Coin? It’s currently the only song by Iron & Wine I have gotten into.

    Yes! My other favorites on that album include pagan angel and a borrowed car, house by the sea, wolves, flightless bird. Lot of great organic sounding experimentation on the album, more so than his latest releases.
