I'm looking forward to it. I hope Marvel have learned from their mistakes. I like Finn Jones and I'm sure he can have the charisma. They rushed production of season 1 which is part of the reason it was that bad but this one will, I hope, make this better.

That being said, I have no excuse for The Defenders.

 

Finn Jones was easily the worst part of season 1

That whole thing where he tried to blame people not liking season one on Donald Trump only made me like him less

 

This is very good news. All of them could do with more concise storylines.

 

September 7th. Did we know that? I just got an email from Netflix.

 

I think the first season soured most people. There hasn’t been a whole lot of promotion for it either. Still, I’m excited. Iron Fist is one of my favourite characters, so I probably gave the last season more leeway than most.

 

I think you're right. I'll certainly give it a chance but I'm not excited for this at all, haha!

 

Reviews are out, mostly positive. But some are still not sold on it.

I really hope I enjoy it. I couldn't finish S1.

 

3 episodes in and this is definitely a huge step up from season 1

I haven’t even bothered with Luke Cage s2, so there’s not a chance in hell I watch this.

 

Luke Cage 2 is really good. Probably my 3rd favorite after JJ1 and Daredevil 1.

The only one I missed was Punisher.

 

Agreed but watch Punisher! It's so damn good!

 

I didn't get into Luke Cage s2. The writing was so campy (apparently this worked for most but the tone felt so different from s1 and I didn't dig the change) or terrible or just weirdly delivered at times I couldn't get into it "Luke, you helped me! I'm gonna hire you" and having Rosario leave after 3 episodes really hurt it for me. I enjoyed s1 of this pretty much purely for Colleen and Ward. Luke and Danny were entertaining in Defenders together but his appearance in Luke Cage s2 did nothing for me. I might watch this eventually. Way down on the list for me lol

 

I watched the first two eps of S2 last night. The fight choreography and execution has noticeably improved. Idk where this Alice Eve subplot is going, but it's weird.

 

I did start this. Halfway through it's way better than last year through the same point in the season.

 

I keep meaning to start this but the Spider-Man game is distracting me lol

 

Colleen Wing, the Immortal Iron Fist, Protector of Kun Lun, Sworn Enemy of the Hand!

This season was honestly kind of great. The shorter episode count should be applied to all of these shows. Everything terrible about the first season is significantly better this time around. I'm actually excited about all the teases for season 3. Also, Ward is the best.

 

I made it through like 95% of the first episode but I kept getting distracted.

I hated Ward in season 1 until near the end.

all the supporting characters in this show are so good

at episode 6 and I'm really enjoying it.

edit: and done. that was fun, still rough around the edges but one thing I can appreciate is how this show isn't that scared to do crazy things with its characters.

 

Finished last night. Overall good season and huge improvement over S1.

Was not expecting a Sokovia reference ha. Still not sure how I feel about the Mary/Walker character

I love the idea of Colleen holding the iron fist. At first, I was torn because the idea that the IF can be transferred to whoever gives less weight to the whole mythology of it all, but after they introduce the possibility of who Colleen's mother is and the implications that holds, it makes more sense.

 

I could write my own summary, but all of this.

 

The episode when they have the plan to get Davos the first time and Walker's alter is brought out by the rain and lights was one of my favorite episodes in all the Marvel netflix shows tbh

 

I'm up to the part where Davos is using the daughters and there's no explanation at all about who they are or where they came from haha

it's been much better than last season overall and I think Finn has been much better as well. Ward is still definitely the best character bar none.

Also Mary makes me incredibly uncomfortable :(
