Just finished ep 7. Again, this show is doing great with the character drama. Why can't so many other superhero movies/shows be like this? I'm loving how strong Allen is now ha. Can't wait to see what he does.

Great end to the season but I wish it had an extra 2-4 eps.

Glad they toned down the gore in the Angstrom fight from the comics. 'I thought you were stronger' hit so good here. Debbie's arm had me wincing though. Oh also Sterling K Brown stole the show this week. I know its a mainly celeb cast but they all kill it for the most part.

In terms of changes from the comics, I think the major thing here was having the Martian/Sequid mission before Angstrom's revenge which was fine with me since Angstrom's story is definitely more finale worthy imo. Definitely prefer that for the show format.

Glad to see Kirkman confirmed more Battle Beast for season 3 and I also read that every season 3 episode is structured to feel like a climactic season finale.

I dont really wanna say anything but very excited for whats to come.

 

Knowing what the next couple arcs are in the comics, it makes sense that season 3 is gonna be huge. Most of my favorite moments in the series are from that run of issues (assuming they cover what I think they are)

 

Renewed for seasons 4 and 5!

 

Assuming they generally follow the plot of the comics, how many seasons could they get out of it?

 

Probably 6-7. Season 3 is likely gonna cover up to issue 65 or so, and there's 144 issues in total IIRC

 

Yeah thats what my guess would be. They're just about through the first 3rd of the comics story so following that pace would get you there.

 

I thought I read something about Kirkman wanting to keep it going beyond the comics though, or at least branch of considerably.

 

Decided to get a $5 2 month trial for Kindle unlimited and reading through Invincible now. Absolutely loving it. Also nice to save myself like 225 dollars if I were to buy each volume separately

 

I have the full physical set and it cost me like $600 CAD. Sometimes it's nice to have a real book in your hand.

 

The compendiums are a great deal for the physical route. Think I got all 3 of them for around $150+/- (usd) total. Not a bad deal if you really enjoy the story.

 

Finally got caught up on S2P2. Ended insane. Excited to see where it goes.

 

yeahh physical is definitely nice but I have an 11 inch galaxy tab S8 with a 2k display so it's like the perfect size, super thin and light, and vibrant display. Love reading comics on it

 

Strongly recommend reading the comics to those who haven't, man that was a fantastic read all the way through the end which was pretty perfect. I think it's my favorite comic series ever at this point. Wish it was still going!

 

Hopefully the season rollout isn’t as much a disaster as s2

I think the creator said they've learned from their mistakes and are powering through it, but we'll see.

Man, reading through the comics this year makes me really hope they cover the full story on Amazon and that it never gets cancelled. It's probably the most consistent run I've read.
