Can someone explain to me the following:

If Apple announces a big buyback program should A) I care? B) How much should I care?

 

A) not really. It's pretty much just a dividend by another name.
B) unless you're trying to time buying or selling more, you probably shouldn't care.

In isolation, I think the buyback doesn't really tell you much.

 

Do you know how to check the balance of your I bond?

If you've got money saved up for the long term you've basically just gotta buckle down and ignore the short term losses. Shit always bounces back up eventually. Sure we could still go down more from here, but in five years you'll either be back up or America will be so fucked money won't matter

 

Yeah i'm in for hte long term but man it was rough watching all my cruise stocks take a hit yesterday. And Norewegian posted a bigger than expected loss per share this morning so I'm all like:

 

But the stock is actually rebounding this morning haha.

I'm so tempted to pour even more money in while the prices are so low again, but....I don't wanna put more in than I already have at this point. Like having a certain amount in my savings.

My stocks seem to be SLOWLY creeping back up this week. Still down 15% though

I've also noticed that interest rates on savings and CDs has been the highest I've seen them since before the pandemic.
