It is way better than I give it credit for.. I made a playlist for 2016 and threw it on there and everyone a song comes on from it, I'm like wow.. This is great
I need to listen to this record more. It's so good, but it came out right around Pinegrove and that kinda took its thunder for me
I had a hard time getting into this record for some reason. I dig on it now for sure. I might be out on a wire with this, but I like Intersections better.
I never knew there was a big backlash against it until this came out. I love Intersections but I think they've improved with each album.
I listened to this a lot when it first came out and through spring, but it's not really a summer record. I'm guessing I'll revisit it often come fall/winter.
Evan's really been basking at the altar of Mike Kinsella (and vice versa) and it shows on this album. "Old Lace and Ivory" could easily be an Owen track, and a great one. I think for that reason this album is coming across a little too soft to my ears from what I'd expected from IIOI.
idk "Vis Major" is a pretty loud, rough song. I think this album is great because it has a good balance of everything I like about Evan I think Intersections will always be my favorite though. that album is just very important to me
