Funny enough I went from thinking this was a lower-tier Nolan movie when I first watched it, but now it being in contention as my favorite after several re-watches. I love how emotionally impactful it is, really keeps the high concepts grounded imo
Like the scene where he says goodbye to his kids is really clunky but the score building up as he drives away is SO GOOD. I was ugly crying in that imax theater.
Rewatched this last night and it’s still great. There’s more clunky dialogue than I remember, but nothing that fully takes me out. I’ve been traveling for the last two months so the level of homesickness I feel right now really made some of these scenes feel like an absolute gut punch.
I drove 3 hours to see Interstellar in 70mm IMAX and all I got was this lousy projector malfunction and indefinite delay
i’d probably have it in boston but the imax in that amc is under construction for some time now and it’ll be too late by then. sucks. this isn’t my favorite nolan film but i always wanted to give it another shot on the big screen
Yeah they ended up telling us they couldn’t fix it and we had to leave about 2/3rds of the way through
