TOtBL is a classic by now, their best album and an immense record but OLtA is my favorite really love them everything they’ve done is great IMO, even the s/t that gets a lot f shit el Pintor es their weakest imo - still ok saw them a the Bowery Ballroom play TOtBL and it was sick
I love all their records but I definitely think their self titled is for sure their weakest. I would say Our Love To Admire is my absolute favorite of theirs.
Yeah, S/T has a few cool songs, namely Lights, but that record has so much filler on it. Plus, Carlos pretty much hit the eject button right after it was recorded and you can just hear how apathetic he was listening to his playing.
I'm a little confused - I don't see any mention of Interpol in that article... I am still a big fan of these guys. I love all of their albums except for the self-titled, and even that one I like a few of the songs. I thought El Pintor from a couple of years ago was fantastic, and it had some great b-sides, my favorite being The Depths. Very excited to hear a new album from them if there is one coming out.
Yeah I didn’t see it in the article either but the guys confirmed there is a record coming this year.
yeah, that happened with stereogum and titus as well, they "announced" the titus album like two weeks before the band did, all the info was the same though they probably thought the news would be out by now and forgot to edit
I love that they surprised us with a totally new song. I really hope it's part of an EP with 'Real Life' on it too.
Yeah, why was it miserable...??? I've only seen them once several years ago but they were great live.
Car Seat Headrest and Snail Mail played three or four song sets. They were given no time at all. Interpol felt lifeless. It just felt so underwhelming. I left half way through out of pure boredom.
Wow. That is awful. I'm sorry that happened to you. I would not have guessed that's how it would have gone.
