Someone on Reddit shared this interview from a little while ago which mentions the songs and how they will probably see the light of day: Interpol // Interview | LONDON IN STEREO Very excited about hopefully hearing studio versions of "Real Life" and hopefully "The Weekend", but the weird little interludes just seem more and more pointless to me.
Got to see them play live tonight and they were incredible! Sam's groove is impeccable. I wish they would have played another off Marauder, but other than that great set list.
I finally got around to listening to this and it's actually really good. Excited to have a solid CD from them again. I didn't like their self titled or OLTA.
Apparently they are releasing a 5-song EP tomorrow morning at 10 AM EST. Fine Mess No Big Deal Real Life The Weekend Thrones I am very excited about hearing these. I have been desperate to get my hands on Real Life & The Weekend since they were both mentioned around the release of Marauder.
I loved Fine Mess. I listened at work to The Weekend but was kind of distracted. Will probably just wait for the full release now
I can't lie, I am disappointed, because the main thing I was looking forward to with this EP was finally getting a studio version of "Real Life", and I really thought the whole EP was dropping today. "The Weekend" is pretty good, but I don't think it is better than any of the real songs on Marauder, or "Fine Mess". Still excited for the EP, just disappointed that I have to wait 2 more months.
um what the fuck, guys? Morrissey Announces Tour With Interpol At least they're not headlining so you can leave before the bigoted fucking crank they're inexplicably supporting comes on
you love to see it I'd say I feel sorry for them opening for a washed-up old racist whose tour they're on is selling like absolute dogshit but they knew who they were getting involved with when they announced the tour so uh... find your way out of THAT fine mess, guys. fuck y'all
From the article: "Maybe fans are scorned from the multitude of cancelations in years’ past. Or, they’re just not that into his tour mates’ new album." Gotta love the writer suggesting low ticket sales on Interpol
