This came out last year but I forgot to share it. As you can guess from the views, it was huge. A celebration of the Maghreb, by Moroccan-German rapper Farid Bang, French Montana and the legendary Algerian singer Khaled (you might know him from the song Aïcha). I’m not a Farid Bang fan and I rarely listen to French Montana, but this song slaps.
She's Swiss, raps in French, and is apparently about to blow up in France (at least that is what articles tell me). I like it.
Dream team Ronnie Flex and Tabitha are back at it with a new song that samples “Candy” by Cameo: Tabitha is currently the most successful female artist in The Netherlands, of any genre. Here's the Ronnie Flex song that put her on the map:
Lolo grew was born in France, grew up and San Francisco and has an Algerian background. She sings in French and English. If I had to describe the sound of this song, I'd say it reminds me Rosalia but with Algerian instead of Spanish influences. I love it. She put out an album in December. Also I kinda like this:
I'm actually seeing Lolo Zouaï open for Dua Lipa in May. I take it as a sign that she's getting big! She's also having songwriting credits on mainstream pop songs from what I've read.
Bumping this because I can't stop listening to it. The regulars here should check it out if they haven't. Also @Petit nain des Îles you'd probably like that new Tabitha x Ronnie song I posted recently.
I’ve had some time to dig myself through some of the playlists I follow, so here we go: From Japan From Italy From Algeria (French)
This is a cover (the melody, not the lyrics) of It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy lol A French-German crossover This is very dance-y New Greeny Turkish-German crossover This is maybe something for @PauLo Rache der Laster
Let's do this If you'd ask me right now I'd say he's one of our best accomplishments since direct democracy and Swiss chocolate. Start with Side Walk.
Higher Brothers, from China, are on this. Don’t know the other artist. Megaloh, who might be Germany’s best rapper at this point in time, is gearing up for another album. These are the first two singles:
I haven't been checking a lot of new stuff because of, you know, the apocalypse, but some stuff does get on my radar. This artist has put out a few songs now and she's starting become the most interesting German newcomer I have seen in a while:
