Also Shrek was a direct fuck you to Disney by Katzenberg so it’s easy to get it mixed up with other Disney stuff if you don’t think about it every day
I really enjoyed this. Feels like a natural extension of the last movie. Not a masterpiece or anything but maybe the best non-Toy Story Pixar sequel
i dug it too. somewhere below incredibles 2 but about on par with finding dory. just a nice film that does enough - or even more than enough - to justify happening at all. not in the upper echelon, but i’m also concerned, what with some new reports, that most pixars going forward might not be enough to compare with even this. hope i’m wrong
Enjoyed this! Maya Hawke was great. Ennui and Embarrassment were fun. Envy - Ehhhh. Agreed this wasn’t necessary but a nice extension, like Monsters U.
Loved this. Felt classic Pixar enough. Great heart and in true Pixar fashion, a lovely message. Maya Hawke was excellent.
Very fun movie. I may have enjoyed it more than the first? Idk. I'll have to watch them back to back when it hits Disney +
Box Office: 'Inside Out 2' Headed To $100M After $13M In Thursday Previews The box office pendulum has swung from to "its so over" to "we are so back" once again
I feel awful for our local indie theater. At the start of the year, Disney gives you a choice whether to show their new releases or classics. He chose classics because he doubted “Deadpool 2” would be released this year because of reshoots, which also means missing out on booking this. So now his theater isn’t showing two of the biggest movies of the year and audiences have been small for the classics.
I just watched the first movie this evening and he plays one of the cops in it so I assume it’s the same role in the sequel!
