Seeing her live right now. I’m seeing her at a very sold out Thalia Hall, where a little over a year ago I saw her at the same venue OPENING for Lucy Dacus. It’s kind of insane how big she has gotten.
She just came on stage during the opener Sluice’s set and called out the audience for talking over his set and told them to shut up. That was cool to see.
Selfishly, I’m really glad she didn’t cancel her set in KC and I got to see her tonight. It was a great set. I hope everything’s ok with her and her people
I saw her during the last tour in her hometown (I think) of Asheville. Weird energy from the crowd, one of those fabled post-lockdown experiences, where large groups of (seemingly) teenagers were carrying on their own conversations during her set. In the middle, she was visibly shaken by this and walked offstage. One of her bandmates said this was a (paraphrasing) very tough time and if we could please respect. She eventually came back and the crowd carried on as previous. Anyway, love her. She designed the last batch of merch, which I thought was pretty cool.
She's playing in Seattle right now and has played like six or seven brand new, never heard songs. Said they're from a brand new album, "all pop songs," and they're using the West Coast tour to learn how to make them work live. They sound like Indigo de Souza songs still. one song had a tooooon of energy though, it was sick, like full on rocked out the entire time Edit: show is over. Was about 55 minutes, no encore. Mostly brand new songs/stuff from AOTWE (You Can Be Mean, Wasting Your Time, Parking Lot, All Of This Will End, Always, Not My Body)
Her vinyl is in clearance for $5 https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/sho...-this-will-end-limited-lp?color=050&size=0000
