Excited for this today. Just started my first spin, haven’t pulled the trigger on the vinyl yet. I’m like right on the line with the pre release singles, really good I just need a tiny push.

listening now and about halfway through. interesting that the press release calls it "optimistic" because holy shit the lyrics are extremely depressing. music is great though. title track is my fav so far.

    hey you lil piss baby

I don’t remember who it was that originally posted I Love My Mom in the emo thread years ago but eternal props them. it was 100% the album art that pulled me in but that record was more or less an instant classic in my opinion. so exciting to have gotten in early on and then watch them go on and drop two records that are just as good, if not better. truly one of the best going right now

Seen her name a few times before but I finally checked her out because of Zac’s Twitter. I love this

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

first 5 songs here are not to my taste at all but from the t/t onwards is amazing. Always is a fucking hit

I found her a few months before Any Shape You Take came out and am a big fan of both of her previous albums, but this one is definitely The One. She is a powerhouse songwriter and covers more ground in 30 minutes than a lot of artists cover in 60. If Rat Saw God didn't exist this would be my frontrunner for AOTY.

It’s interesting that she really shows that she has pipes on Younger & Dumber and at the end of Not My Body but uses a snotty punk rock-type voice on a lot of her other songs. I like both styles but after getting to the end of the album I wish she had belted more throughout it.
