What makes 1 & 3 such better films? Why couldn’t they recreate the level of greatness from those films for this new one? The Disney factor?

 

For it to make Indiana Jones 4 box office numbers so close to $800 million at the end of its run

 

They didn't have the people who made those films. You can't just take two of the most important filmmakers of all time, swap them out, and expect the same thing.

I have been watching Young Indiana Jones Chronicles on D+. This is still so good. It almost like an episodic family friendly Assassin's Creed. One episode Indy is adventuring in Egypt with T.E Lawrence, then next hunting in sub-saharan Africa with Teddy Roosevelt, then galavanting around Paris with a young Pablo Picasso and Norman Rockwell.

I’m not debating that! I’m just watching Malcolm In The Middle right now. Also should probably watch Alien first right

Honestly, you should watch the Alien vs Predator movies without watching proper Alien(s), just to be comically & defiantly tasteless.
