Hey, this is the most excited I've been for an Incubus album in many years lol... if the album art is simple then whatever tbh as long as the music is as consistently good as I hope it will be.
woooooooo can't wait until I leave my class !! how does it sound like ? something new ? something heavy ? something technical and beautiful like their earlier stuff ?
It builds towards being a really good song.. that little bit before the chorus does not work for me at all. Hell of a riffage section towards the end though.
It's pretty heavy compared to their more recent stuff... like @vidiviciveni said the last minute or so is absolutely killer but I love the whole thing. It's almost 5 minutes.
I guess it'd better be described as a slow build haha... it doesn't really go off until towards the end but the hook is great and it builds really nicely.
Yep I prefer Nimble Bastard, however it is an interesting song. Doesn't really sound like Incubus which is surprising, in a good way. I get huge Silverchair vibes with a grunge/90's alt rock feel. Am I the only one who thought it sounded like their albums Diorama or Neon Ballroom ?
The tracklist sounds pretty rad. Although we've only heard a few seconds of "No Fun", it sounds like it'll be a perfect opener.
Tracklist: 1. No Fun 2. Nimble Bastard 3. State of the Art 4. Glitterbomb 5. Undefeated 6. Loneliest 7. When I Became a Man 8. Familiar Faces 9. Love in a Time of Surveilance 10. Make No Sound in the Digital Forest 11. Throw Out the Map
We're really only getting 10 songs because track 7 is 0:56... if they can have consistently high quality across the 10 songs I'll be satisfied though.
