That Morning View performance was so so good. Would love for a recording of it to be made available, they did some super cool things with some of the songs.
Bummed that there was no window to stream this on demand. This is a top 10 album of all time for me but I was with my family all day and none of the showtimes worked out to be able to watch uninterrupted. Would've loved to sit down and watch tonight once the kids are asleep. Hopefully it is made available again!
Yeah, that was pretty good. I hope they get inspired by doing the livestream and revisiting Morning View to write new music.
Does anyone have the hookup to the Livestream performance by chance? Had no idea that was even a thing. Can't believe I missed it! Does veep realize how much money they're missing out on by not making these performances available for purchase??
I would have watched and tried to record for people that missed out if it wasn't $20. For my blood, that's way too much for a livestream.
I saw it but didn't have the forethought to record it. Would also be interested in a copy if there's one out there.
I've always found his solo stuff pretty patchy and I don't know if I'll return to this much, but I've got to admire him for trying something so different for him at this stage of his career. In some ways this feels like a sound that's been eluding him for a long time and he's finally found it.
Yeahhh it's definitely an interesting album but not quite my thing. It's not bad by any means, just a bit odd I guess. @Philll you are right though that it feels like he's found what he's been looking for with this sound
Yeah, it’s not doing much for me either aside maybe Pocketknife? Hoping we get a new Incubus record this year.
Do these guys not have a band thread or is this it? I’m about halfway through Mike’s interview with Stryker. It’s been pretty interesting so far.
God - I remember picking this up the week it came out and absolutely hammering it during my first weeks at University Saw them earlier that year supporting Korn and The Urge
