It rules, I love the lower guitar tuning. It makes them sound almost sludgy, like that one slow song from Trust Fall Side A
Light Grenades was pretty good, I'd say 2 steps below ACLOTM which is their best album IMO, but they really fell off with If Not Now Then When?. Loving the new song. Best song of theirs in a decade!
Besides a few songs, I hated "Light Grenades." "Love Hurts" was one of the worst songs of the decade and splitting up "Earth to Bella" made no sense.
Here, let's do this stupid thing that everyone hates MV > MY > ACLOTM > IN,NW > LG > SCIENCE > Fungus
SCIENCE > MV > MY > FUNGUS > ACLOTM > LG > IN, NW Honestly, I haven't listened to more than a handful of tracks off LG or IN, NW. Nothing they did on the songs I did hear actually appealed to me.
Sure why not. Morning View > Science > Make Yourself > Light Grenades > ACLOTM > INNW? > Fungus Only putting fungus amongus last because I havent listened to it in 12 years and I honestly cant remember a single song.
Also, I'm liking the new single. No where near as massive as their earlier singles, but certainly better than anything from Trust Fall or If Not Now When.
As much as I prefer SCIENCE over everything else, Morning View has such a vibe to it. Wish You Were Here takes me back to the times of being on the beach at night time with the wind blowing.
When I was younger I liked SCIENCE a lot more, but recently I don't feel like it aged well. Fungus is unlistenable to me, I tried a week or so ago
Take Me To Your Leader is amazing, and the entire album is full of crunchy-funk beats. They were obviously dosed out of their goddamn minds because hey, if you're growing up in a wealthy area of LA and bored, why not?
morning view (is greater than or equal to) light grenades > a crow left of the murder > make yourself > science > if not now when never heard fungus
SCIENCE is a little dated, but its compositions are so intricate and the album is so fun that it will always be my favorite. I'm also of the like that the band went downhill with Ben Kenney, even though he's a talented dude.
