Anthony Ramos, Melissa Barrerra, Leslie Grace, and Corey Hawkins are just too attractive
I never got a chance to see this on Broadway but it definitely worked very well as a movie ,especially the way it incorporated the neighborhood
Stephanie Beatriz is so effortlessly funny
it's cute that the love interest is named Vanessa
I wonder if it's a coincidence that there are Bennys in this and Rent
how old are Nina and Benny supposed to be, he seemed way older than her and she was a baby
obviously this was still relevant
do you think he regretted not cashing the lottery ticket lol

 

Well we have WES, DEH, and TTB all coming out which can compete but I’d be welcome for the others to be as good.

 

gonna be dumb and ask what WES and TTB are but also going to echo your statement of welcoming any movie musical to be good

I thought you might be talking about west side story but the WES threw me off haha, but Tick Tick Boom looks incredible.

also knowing how closely Lin worked on the set of Heights I'm excited to see how he directs Tick Tick Boom

and absolutely! Camerawork in ITH was electric, and a small scale, tight story is a perfect entry point for Lin to try some things out, and a showcase for Garfield to really aim for the stars

 

Lin Manuel also has the animated movie “Vivo” coming to Netflix. Busy year for him.

I loved this movie entirely.

 

Yea this was exactly what I wanted it to be. Pool scene was my fav.

 

This is the best movie musical since the mid-‘60s

 

who the fuck would J Lo play in this haha, obviously not a defense but it's sad how hard it is to get any non white hetero movie made

 

I can't remember the last time I saw a good musical (non-animated, that is). I really enjoyed this.

 

I’d honestly give this thing four acting noms alone. Ramos, Merediz, Smits and DRV.

 

Honestly the only bummer about the Globes being possibly dead is they’d probably have thrown consolation nods at Leslie Grace and Corey Hawkins, too

 

I’m watching this round table with the cast and holy fuck Olga’s performance just jumped even more for me. I never for a second thought that was anything other than an 80 year old woman.

 

I saw this movie with two female friends and their first comment was basically “how the fuck does she have abs like that” lol.

 

And Leslie Grace is a fucking star.
