I mean, it's probably (hopefully) going to be someone like Ken Jennings who has an appreciation for the show. Plus, it didn't end when Art Fleming left, I personally think it should continue on so new generations can still experience the show.
I'm just going to copy what I posted elsewhere, because I can't bring myself to go through it again... I'm absolutely gutted about Trebek when i was a kid one my few memories of my grandmom was going to her retirement community with my dad to check on her she would always be watching jeopardy and wheel I hated that woman with a passion, but loved watching those shows while my dad checked on things she was an awful person, but I would have never started watching if it wasn't for her racist old ass I have been watching for 30 years and will miss him dearly I have been ugly crying the last half hour watching clips. goddamnit, couldn't we have one good day?
I Think a lot of us watched both shows with our parents/grand parents. I Watched with my mom, when she was alive as well. It was inevitable, but still sad.
Ahh man, the Trebek news is a bummer. I've been watching a ton of Jeopardy since the pandemic started. RIP. What a legend.
Didnt ratings go up with Jennings and the other guy - both of whom could not lose.... That was just insane, the amount of money they won/day vs what was done way back when
Hal Ketchum, Nineties Country Singer of 'Small Town Saturday Night,' Dead at 67 Past the Point of Rescue and Sure Love are two of my favorite albums of the 90s. This is a rough one. RIP
