Tough one when I factor in his abuse and misogyny. My favorite part of his will always be Indiana Jones’ dad.
I've seen him in every Bond and he's great in Indiana Jones and earned his Oscar in The Untouchables, but I think the best Connery performance is definitely The Man Who Would Be King. He had an incredible career.
Damn. obviously the bond role is great and he did so much other great stuff. But funnily enough I’ve always loved him in The Rock. Loved that movie when i was a kid and in HS I used to quote it with one of my social studies teachers doing the Connery voice and to this day when we see each other he still yells out “Womac!” in the Connery voice. What a bummer.
It's not as good as any of the others mentioned but I have a soft spot for the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen because that was somehow my Introduction to Connery
Highlander is the first Connery I think about. Bummer about the abuse allegations that I didn’t know about until this morning.
Damn. Gonna have to pop on one of his Bonds or the Last Crusade. RIP. EDIT: Didn't know anything about abuse. I'll have to read more on that.
I can’t remember when I first saw this, but it’s been awhile and since then it’s always the first thing that comes to mind when I hear his name or see him. Obviously a different era but I feel like this is bold even for then and he had no problem openly saying it in a nationally televised interview; one can only imagine behind closed doors.
