and 2 mansions both worth 4+ million, out of which one the family bought 1 year before his death. stop giving these rich fucks your money.
I am glad someone else said it because the details that have come out are pretty bad. His wife is an anti-vaccination influencer and Van Der Beek was seen with her at events with other prominent anti-vaccination doctors and filmmakers. Also, the whole moving from Los Angeles to buy a giant compound in Texas and having six kids usually indicates a type of person. She had five miscarriages too and says she almost died from it and the type of people who have enough kids to field their own football team are almost always far-right. They even met in Israel.
All they had to do was shut the fuck up and sell one of their mansions. I’m hoping that despite everything this somehow “backfires” and puts the US healthcare system further on blast.
I also had seen a few places, and I'll spoiler tag since I don't know the reality, but regarding the lack of money was due to rejecting traditional treatments and paying for new age "clean" treatments, etc
I saw that as well. They couldn't prove it, though, so I did not want to repeat it. However, I was a little confused when it was reported that it was stage 3 cancer, not 4. That is something that is often treatable with proper intervention.
a lot of people also think the reason the treatment was so expensive was because they were doing holistic or experimental treatment
Genuinely one of the greatest to ever do it. If you haven't seen Tender Mercies yet, you really should.
The best scene in the trilogy is near the end of Part II, when Tom is trying to convince Michael to not try and kill Hyman Roth. Michael all but directly threatens him, showing just how far he has gone in his descent into darkness. Tom has always been the loyal soldier, putting up with demotions and being flown all over the country on odd jobs. He asks Michael why he is doing this to him, and you can see in Duvall's eyes how he knows the man he treated like a little brother is gone.
Came here to say this. I was like 8/9 years old? Obviously I went on to appreciate him in more than that lol
Not sure what this has to do with it and trying to come up with a benefit of the doubt why it's not a fucked up thing to say
