I found out just how much Rob meant to me when trying to sleep last night. I was pretty overwhelmed by his impact and the circumstances. Celebrity or not, that's a terrible way to go. My heart breaks for their daughter who found them and had to explain to the authorities who did such an awful thing. Her close relationship with her parents is one I've been envious of for many years. The Reiners were (by all accounts that matter) a wonderful family who have done a lot of good for the world with their creativity and influence.
RIP Rob and Michele Reiner. Glad I made it out to the movies to see Spinal Tap 2 a short while back. A great catalogue of acting RE Trump - absolutely insane statement for anyone to make so soon after, let alone the sitting president. It's also just more blinding hypocrisy. because the republicans did not accept that Charlie Kirk was murdered because his words stirred anger in those that didn't agree (and remember - we should NEVER let political discourse become violent anyway), and here's Trump saying that Rob Reiner essentially earned his death, and that's with a whole lot of conjecture attached to it. He will find a way to make ANYTHING and EVERYTHING about himself. Gross.
