Damn, RIP. Sunset Song, A Quiet Passion, and the Deep Blue Sea are so great.

 

The funniest thing to ever happen on this forum was when Stephen Chamberlin reviewed Davies' The Deep Blue Sea and used a picture of LL Cool J jumping across the shark and into the water.

 

I've only seen Distant Voices, Still Lives, but it's certainly the work of a distinctive and unique artist.

 

RIP Keith Giffen.

He was a legendary comics writer & artist who co-created Rocket Raccoon, Lobo, and the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle, and also did iconic work on Legion of Super-Heroes, Justice League International, the Marvel cosmic storyline Annihilation (which the modern Guardians of the Galaxy spun out of), and the weekly DC series 52.

 

His JLI series is so good and funny too
