3 Doors Down put out a great debut album and some really good singles. It was hard to be fanatical about radio butt rock during that era bc I was into a different scene, but they always stood out above the rest for me. Be Like That, in particular, really brings the nostalgia when I hear it.

Haha. For sure! The first verse of the song on the album and soundtrack have slightly different lyrics. Weirdly, the one about the person seeing themselves on the big screen is not the “American Pie 2” version.

I saw him play with Twothirtyeight on their reunion, along with Manchester a couple times. Just found out he played with Waking Ashland too. Always an insane drummer. One of the loudest dudes I’ve ever seen live.
For real. Been really getting into the HardLore podcast, and so bummed to see someone gone so soon. RIP.
