Got to see him play pet sounds at the Ryman in Nashville almost 10 years ago. No one like him, now or ever

 

Ugh. So close to being able to attend his Rock Hall induction. That sucks.

How fitting that the city celebrated him just a few weeks ago. He’s a proper legend around these parts, and actually got given the freedom of the city just last month.

What a legend.

 

It always felt like he was going to outlive us all. Wild that he was only 76 given how long he'd been active; he seemed like an old man on the TV show and he was just barely 50 there. What a run.

 

Such a huge huge loss. Bummed about this, but I'm glad he got to do his farewell show before it happened.
