‘I’m Overdue for a Discussion About My Role in Inspiring ‘Edgelord’ Shit’: A Conversation with Steve Albini
i get what you're saying (and agree) but i think steves statements towards the end of his life tell us he'd want to be remembered warts and all. "dont deserve any grace for that" etc
Super underrated band. Highly recommend for anyone that enjoys 90’s indie in the same vein as Pavement and Archers Of Loaf. Also, iirc, Steve’s wife did backing vocals on a few of their albums too
Wild stuff. I never liked the band, but I appreciate that they stuck around for so long and that's way too young to pass. R.I.P.
Aurora’s Wake: On Dege Legg’s death and final act I've been meaning to share this here. If you are unfamiliar with his work you should definitely check it out.
He definitely went through decades of addiction, which was really tough to watch. Sadly, a lot of people are dunking on his death like it's really funny how hard he struggled. I didn't care for the music they made, but it is disheartening to see that seems to give people a pass to make fun of him.
