This is lovely isn't it? Their instrumental skills really compliment each other.

 

Yeah, it works better than I thought it would. They're all such singular talents that I wasn't sure exactly how a collaboration would feel. But it's great.

Tbh, though, haven't delved too deep into this yet. Been listening to the Brandi Carlile record, mostly.

 

This has already been such a strong first month and a half. It's hard to give everything its proper due.

 

Yeah, no kidding. I also have a couple advances that are pretty stellar to fit into the mix. The new Field Report record, for instance.

Have you heard the Xcerts album? Or the new John Oates? In this slew of quality I worry those two might get lost.

 

Xcerts yes, John Oates no. I'll add the latter to my list. The Xcerts record is terrific, though.

So excited for this to come out on Friday. I haven't listened through any of the singles, but I love love love the albums from all three members (though I think the best one has to go to Aiofe O'Donnovan -- her most recent album is really something special).

 

Nah, drewbing would be: "I got this advance and it's the best thing I've ever heard."
