this song actually sounds like a lost tigers jaw spin b side

 

realized I miss this. no! i was trying to figure it out but i haven't had luck. one of my favorites (Things I Never Said to Silent Ceremony is the best stretch imo)

it does sound like something from spin

 

I am tempted to agree except that I literally don’t think anything on here is bad. I think once lost my voice hits, especially, it’s pretty much straight 10s from then on

 

also "Myths" hits way better in context imo

 

really wish it wasn't previously released tbh. its such an amazing penultimate track, leads into the title track beautifully, and it loses some of that as a b-side

 

yeah I agree—I get the thinking of showing the range from Big Sound to Myths but Myths is so much more powerful in context that I wish they'd have chosen something else.

relistening and this should have been included in the run of best songs yeah

actually i have discovered that the second half of this thing is indeed bulletproof

Whoa, I decided to check this out on a whim (Big Sound) and I'm blown away. This is incredible. I hear your TJ comparisons, and raise you a Somos comparison as well.

 

I can hear this, yeah, if they'd stuck with the temple of plenty sound

 

I keep getting hints of old Hostage Calm too.

Blown away by the singles here. Can't wait to hear the whole thing. Illuminating interview on Stereogum as well. I had no idea about their story when the songs first hooked me in.

 

this might be my album of the year - very high potential. listen to this at least 3-5 times a day.
