Even the TV show deal isn't awful. Pretty impressed with the whole thing.

 

Yeah, basically you have a program on your computer that accesses the PS4 and streams it in 720p. It doesn't look the best but it was pretty serviceable for the 10 minutes I was messing around on NHL 16. It may come in handy since I have roommates that hog the TV on occasion. Interested in bringing my laptop to work to see if it runs well. I'm skeptical of the Wifi here though.

 

I tried it for a bit on my home internet. It runs about 20mb/s and it got a bit too choppy for me to imagine actually playing anything on. I'm guessing it works fine on a faster connection tho.

 

I had the PS4 hardwired and my laptop on wifi sitting not too far from the router, so I'm sure that helped. Slowdown was occurring but not to the point of unplayability.

 

Anyone grab a VR Headset?

 

Nah, probably in a year with more 3rd party support.

 

I didn't get to see any posts in the last thread for several months. Was going to catch up and then ap.net = dead. Anyone want to summarize? Or was it all dragons and sibs, etc.? Severely disappointed that I can't watch marrost's head explode over and over again on this new site.....bummer

I'm skeptical of the VR thing. my old roommate had an Occulus dev unit and it was sweet, but I don't think I would want to play games like that. I'd watch Gravity through them shits and then die of a heart attack though.

 

I watched it. Was good sht. I might keep the network because of NXT.
